Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated June 2026. By creating an account, bidding, or purchasing on Liquidation Flips, you agree to the terms below.
Bidding & participation
- All users must have a valid account with a card on file to participate in auctions.
- A temporary pre-authorization hold of up to CAD 100 may be placed before bidding privileges are granted to verify your payment method. This is not a purchase charge. Your financial institution controls when the authorization disappears from your available balance.
- All bids are legally binding. By placing a bid, you agree to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder.
- Bid retractions are not permitted under any circumstances.
Bid increments
- Bid increments are dynamic and determined by the platform based on the current bid value.
- The applicable increment will be displayed during the bidding process.
Anti-sniping (soft close)
- Any bid placed within the final 5 minutes of an auction automatically extends the auction by 5 additional minutes.
- This continues until no further bids are placed.
Reserve pricing
- Most auctions are conducted without a reserve.
- Where applicable, a reserve or minimum starting price is clearly indicated on the listing.
Winning & invoicing
- At the close of an auction, the highest bidder is deemed the winning bidder.
- An invoice is automatically generated and sent to your account and email.
Payment terms
- Winning bidders must complete payment within 48 hours of auction close.
- Payments must be made through the approved payment methods listed on the site.
Failure to pay
- Orders not paid within the stated payment window may be cancelled and offered to another buyer.
- We may suspend or restrict future bidding privileges, recover amounts lawfully owing, and take other action permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
Buyer's premium
- Certain auctions may include a buyer's premium.
- Where applicable, this fee is clearly disclosed on the listing prior to bidding.
Pickup & storage
Pickup deadline
- Items must be picked up within 24 hours after payment unless otherwise stated.
Grace period & storage fees
- A 4-day grace period applies after payment.
- After this period, a storage fee of $10 per day is charged.
Abandonment policy
- Items not picked up within 7 days after payment are considered abandoned.
- Abandoned items are forfeited without refund, and ownership reverts to Liquidation Flips.
Shipping
- Shipping is available on select auction items where indicated.
- Shipping costs are based on carrier estimates (e.g. FedEx) and shown where applicable.
- The buyer is responsible for shipping charges, carrier requirements, and providing an accurate delivery address. The listing or invoice will identify any shipping arrangements offered by Liquidation Flips.
- Risk of loss passes to the buyer when the item is handed to the buyer or carrier at the warehouse. Carrier delays, loss, or damage are handled under the carrier's claims process and applicable law.
Inspection & acceptance
- For local pickup orders, customers may perform basic functionality testing on-site.
- Testing is limited and must be conducted reasonably and within a short timeframe.
- No loitering or extended use is permitted.
Important
- Cosmetic condition, packaging, and missing accessories are not grounds for refusal or dispute unless explicitly stated in the listing.
- Once an item leaves the premises, it is deemed accepted in full.
Product condition & listing information
- Inventory may include customer returns, open-box goods, liquidation inventory, refurbished goods, and goods sold as-is. The condition shown on a listing is a description for identification only and does not create a warranty unless the listing expressly says otherwise.
- Photos, manifests, estimated retail values, quantities, weights, model numbers, and descriptions are supplied for convenience and may contain errors or omissions. Buyers must review the listing and make their own assessment before bidding or purchasing.
Order finality
- Auction purchases are final and non-cancellable once the auction ends.
- Failure to complete payment results in penalties as outlined above.
Account conduct & enforcement
- Users may only operate one account.
- Multiple accounts, fake bidding, or any attempt to manipulate auctions results in immediate suspension or permanent ban.
- Liquidation Flips reserves the right to cancel bids, restrict accounts, or refuse service at its sole discretion.
Platform discretion
Liquidation Flips reserves the right to:
- Correct, cancel, or void a listing or auction where there is a material error, technical failure, suspected fraud, or inaccurate listing information.
- Refuse or remove bids deemed suspicious.
- Where practical, notify affected users of a material correction, cancellation, or technical interruption. We are not responsible for interrupted access, transmission delays, or bid submissions we do not receive.
